At TBF, we aim to educate individuals to reduce reactionary resistance. Part of our education strategy is directed towards the general public and uninformed anglers. Through outreach, we are able to share research and policy facts with our audience, informing them of billfish conservation issues and the possible solutions.
TBF’s outreach teaches responsible fishing, highlighting the fun of sportfishing, the importance of billfish, and their ecosystem roles, aiming to build global conservation awareness.
TBF will travel to most events in South Florida that align with our mission. Previous events include tournaments, schools, camps, fishing clubs, and festivals.
Depending on the event, we will bring what we deem fit. Items in the past have included billfish displays, billfish bills, art materials, educational brochures, juvenile specimens, and much more.
